this strange. 2 days ago, around 8pm, noticed video in facebook stopped playing. (chrome) video load first frame, wouldn't play. not thinking shut down , went bed. now, every time boot complete shutdown, audio/video won't work. no system sounds, can't play music in itunes or windows media player, can't play videos in youtube/vimeo/fb, in *any* browser...and not in vlc/quicktime or windows player.  restart , works fine. now, every time boot, need restart.  i haven't installed software in months. nor updates. windows updates reports last update 2 weeks ago. haven't changed on system.  after 2 days of this, updated audio driver, nvidia driver , checked manually windows update. machine still won't play audio/video cold boot. any appreciated. windows 10 pro 64-bit v1703 build 15063.540 i7 990x asus rampage 3 mb 24gb crucial ram asus 980ti video card still won't p

good day, having problem 1tb flash drive have. i'm running windows 10 , seems system doesn't want read flash drive, because when plug in, error comes up: "you need format disk in drive l: before can use it." click format, since has no content. problem everytime plug flash drive in after ejecting it. it's cycle of formatting , formatting. also, when eject flash drive, doesn't ejected. icon looks this: i mention drive worked totally fine when tried on laptop running windows well, assume it's in system causing this. would have solution on how fix it? thank you! hi, the issue you're having might caused possible hardware conflict. understand what's causing this, provide following information: have tried using different port flash drive , see if issue persists? have tried using different flash drive on windows 10 computer , see if works? we'll waiting

i'm facing weird issue while using laptop after random intervals laptop locks automatically. i'll have unlock use again. i did research , continue work enabled "remove lock computer " local group policy edit > user configuration > administrative templates > system > ctrl+alt+del options > remove lock computer. works i'm not getting lock screen black screen glitch. , have move mouse or press button default screen. think again tries lock pc i've removed black screen appears. please me out, it's annoying , can't work this. moved from: windows / windows 10 / performance & system failures / pc thank letting know. since haven't tried starting pc in clean boot state yet, recommend try first determine if issue being caused software or program installed on device before can proceed on performing further troubleshooting steps. hope hear soon. regards.

after updating computer “feature update windows 10, version 1703.  install latest update windows 10: windows 10 creators update”, when connecting website, redirected other websites adult , gaming websites on microsoft edge , internet explorer 11.  pop blocker on.  not happen on chrome , fire fox browsers.  has worked in past until latest update wndows 10.  i tried uninstall update; tried system restore, none of these worked.  system restore did not restore successfully.  did chat online , told reset microsoft edge.  did that, delete microsoft edge folders , restarted computer , did not stop pop ups.  1 of pop ups deadlock , mentionnets.today asking login name , password.  getting message malicious virus in on system.  did complete virus , malware scan (mcafee , malwarebytes).  no virus , malware found.    my question is, other reinstalling windows 10, can done stop these pop ups?  see attached screenshots of errors. operating system:  windows 10 64

i did microsoft update on monday 18th , since update cannot connect network - lwindowd not detect networks proxy settings” have done many different things attempt resolve issue no luck, any recommendations! open microsoft edge. go settings on microsoft edge. click on view advanced settings. hit on open proxy settings. turned off automatically detect settings. turned off use proxy server. save changes. close microsoft edge. restart pc. other things can try: open start > settings > update & security > troubleshoot scroll down click network adapters click run troubleshooter when complete, restart see if problem resolved. if not, press windows key + x click device manager expand network adapters right click adapter click uninstall exit device manager, restart. windows 10 should detect network adapter reinstall it. check if can connect , browse. try: op

so, put computer sleep , when log in again, notice desktop icons missing. saw icons in taskbar missing. similarly, windows explorer not show folder icons, file preview not work. also, cannot see thumbnails in picture folder. screenshots of these scenarios attached.  to solve, have tried following without success. 1) antivirus , anti-malware check 2) restarting in normal, diagnostic , selective (usual) startup 3) restarting in safe mode, same problem persists. 4) checking file errors (scf/scannow). result - no integrity violations 5) tried use system restore, error message (screenshot attached). had system restore enabled , few restore points.  6) tried right click on c: go properties , perform system checkup. property window/panel not open. properties windows not open files well, when try alt+enter i appreciate if tell me how can solved. personally, prefer if did not have reinstall or reset windows. thanks.

hi, since the windows 10 fall creators update (1709) display settings showing 6 screens on notebook while there should 1. i guess due driver issue? installed latest intel hd 4600 drivers, still nothing. going on here? my notebook have nvidia optimus, , hdmi , display port. screens should shown when connected , not always. or new way? please help.
