Settings will not open in win 10 - Microsoft Community

version 1703 os build 15063.674, computer off past 2 weeks started today , found settings not open.

system file corruption 1 of possible reasons why you're not able launch settings on computer. better assist you, please answer following:

• are there changes made on computer prior issue?
• are getting error messages when trying launch settings in pc?
• what troubleshooting steps have done far?

in meantime, suggest creating test user profile. see if same issue occurs on different user profile.

to create test user profile, follow these steps:

1. on search, type settings then hit enter key.
2. on settings window, select accounts.
3. select family & other people.
4. select add else pc.
5. name user profile test.
6. assign password test user, select next.
7. sign in test user.
