can tell me correct procedure following problem i'm having: i installed win10 home , used microsoft account during installation. so when started windows, logged in microsoft account required password. i later changed account settings local account, calling username "everybody". what did not change "c:\users\<username>" (which shortened version of microsoft email address) to new username "everybody". i have tried online remedy required me make new admin account, physically rename "c:\users\<username>" to the username's spelling, edited registry etc. gave me sorts of logon issues. so i'm started 2 different names. logon display name of "everybody", and file explorer name of "c:\users\<username>". i'm sure many people have had same occur them, , advise me leave is. nut bugs me no end, , need fixed. has remedied above problem, , please tell me

hi everybody! im getting error every time try start program on computer " the application failed start because side-by-side configuration incorrect " started earlier today when computer crashed, when logged in gave me error above several programs auto launch pc. ive googled problem solutions dont seem work, "sfc /scannow" returns error "windows resource protection not perform requested operation" (i cmd admin , im logged in admin account on pc) the microsoft visual c++ 2015 doesnt seem working , cant uninstall or run installer either thanks in advanced! update: i realized easier if had tried, , posted sfc log. what have tried:     regedit - edited side side entry (it correct)     sfc /scannow - failes @ 48% regardless if in safe mode     error checking on c drive - finds loads of error, asks me restart fix them. restart "fix" them, error still there after boot. (ive done is a few times)

after updates windows build 14393.1770 15063.632 , 16299.19 winx shortcut commands of group 2 ( file explorer , task manager ) , of group 3 ( event viewer, device manager, disk management , power shell ( command prompt ) stopped of working ( in both latest buildouts ). i not specific errors message install server not responding ( with options: cancel or retry ). i checked msiexec.exe getting response windows installer ver.5.0.16299.19. also, ran scf /scannow  -  no integrity violation found , checked with  services.msc   windows installer parameters.  in general tab startup type , service status greyed out.   someone recommended import .reg file of working system msiserver.  not sure windows installer version file corrupted. besides used    windows troubleshooter did not find either. know downgrade previous build 14393.1770 problem will disappear. how fix annoying problem ?   all, please advised rec
