High memory use Windows 10, causing high disk activity - Microsoft Community

i experiencing high memory use (around 95%) , high disk activity, due paging, after clean boot , running chrome.

trying find out problems have followed instructions in post:

make , model of computer?
version of windows 10 installed?

open start > settings > privacy > background apps
disable background apps.

disabling windows update:

press windows key + r
type: services.msc
hit enter

scroll down windows update
select right click
click properties
under general tab, choose startup type disabled
click stop
click apply ok

also, check whats starting windows.

press windows key + x
click task manager
click startup tab
disable except windows defender.

open start, type: problem reports
hit enter

delete failed or pending reports.

go start > settings > system > notifications , actions > turn off "show me tips windows."

if have chrome installed, uninstall reinstall it.

make sure latest windows updates have been installed.
