One computer on my network refuses to communicate with the rest of the - Microsoft Community

my daughter's machine set manage shares via password (not managed via homegroups) , has several smb shares available. permissions set correctly shares accessed other computers. has linksys wmp600n wireless networking card installed. connection lan on wireless connection.

every other computer on network, when accessed, gives either password prompt, password shares enabled, or immediate anonymous access not require passwords.

computer, named raven, flat out denies access.  not password prompt. tells you don't have access computer, if sharing disabled on system.

i've done advanced troubleshooting, checking secpol.msc, "network access: not allow anonymous enumeration of sam accounts , shares." in local security set defaults on system.

i've tried several solutions found @ answers.microsoft.com, such renaming computer rejects access , retrying. tried turning file sharing off on system, uninstalling network card, reinstalling network card, , turning file sharing on. tried disabling guest account. none of worked.

it used allow anonymous access shares no password. failure happened in past few months.

checked, , on private network; doesn't show public. same subnet. same workgroup. tried reinstalling "client ms networks" , "file , printer sharing microsoft networks" , rebound them adapter. no dice.

tried reverting original network driver came card. didn't help.

wireless adapter: wireless n, running on 5ghz spectrum. tried 2.4ghz spectrum. same problem.

everything connected via tp-link archer c7 consumer router. tried upgrading firmware. didn't help. other machines on lan connected via router , networking works them.

the other symptoms network browser in explorer on system shows computer, raven. not show other computers on network. if type in hard uri "\\starling" explorer address box (starling main server on network), brings shares on main server, starling not appear when browsing network explorer. starling master browser. "nbtstat -a starling" executed on raven shows msbrowse line indicating master. wireless printers , access point show enumerated in explorer on raven, however, not of lanmanager computer shares.

second symptom in "advanced sharing settings," if try set "turn off password protected sharing" in "all networks" section, setting never retained. reverts "turn on password protected sharing."

can't use homegroups because have mixed network requires use of standard smb shares.

systems running latest update of win 10 creators edition. don't know when system stopped working networking. used work, , 1 day didn't. said, in last few months. first noticed broken on v14393, , upgraded creators v15063 see if fix problem. didn't.

people have suggested system failure might related wannacry patch released earlier year.

ideas might fix it?
