Floppy disk controller which will not function in Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

floppy controller, teac fd-0spub, recognized in devices , printers.  device manager says has driver , running normally.  yet, not appear on file manager screen under "this pc", , not appear in disk management, can't assign drive letter.  can gain access device?

this issue may occur due compatibility issues. normally, if new drive reformatted, gets drive letter automatically , not need take further actions.  regarding floppy-disk controller concern, please answer following:

  • how did install floppy-disk controller on device?
  • have tried downloading latest driver floppy-disk controller on manufacturer's website?

in meantime, suggest run built-in hardware , devices troubleshooter in windows 10. this, refer these steps:

  1. press windows key +x , select control panel.
  2. change view by option on top right large icons.
  3. choose troubleshooting , click on the view all option on left panel.
  4. run hardware , devices troubleshooter.
  5. follow on-screen instructions.
  6. restart computer.

please post status of issue, we'll glad assist further.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
