Windows 10 Update affected Display Resolution and removed "Sleep - Microsoft Community

after recent update in november pc windows 10,  display became stretched,  desktop icons bigger, , power option "sleep" removed , replaced "hibernate". 

i have ati radeon  hd4200.  cannot roll driver. 

how restore  sleep function? also, in windows update history, offending update not listed.

will microsoft issue update fix since many people have written in?

the issue experiencing display resolution due driver version compatibility issue. resolve concern, recommend follow troubleshooting steps provided erwinjames san last december 1, 2017 in thread: display problems on amd radeon video cards after installing update. once done, check if issue persists.

regarding concern computer's sleep function, check if power options set. so, kindly follow these steps:

  1. type control panel on search bar, click on control panel.
  2. click on hardware , sound.
  3. click on power options.
  4. on left panel, click on choose power buttons do.
  5. check if sleep checked. if not, click on change settings unavailable able change shutdown settings.
  6. once sleep checked, click on save changes, close windows.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
