In what universe is it acceptable for Windows updates to render - Microsoft Community

my wife's office pc (we work home running firm) has done windows update. assume creator update can't sure because doesn't tell you. says update kb4021572 (installed 29th august 2017). 

the update took ages (an hour). installed tried work images (which vital everyday task our business). photoshop not work - icons , headers had gone edit page. means can't work - we're hamstrung. 

i have done research on in last 2 hours , found great many people in same situation. in fact problem seems hampering photoshop elements (at least versions 7-14) , full-blown cs versions of program. impacting on thousands or millions of businesses on world, let alone millions of private users.

microsoft's advice, seen given others on site "update adobe app". well, first off isn't app can update free, it's program bought, around £60 ($75), 10 times that! not mere trifling matter. millions of people being told programs useless because ms cannot run these programs ran trouble-free on windows 10. 

could please:

1) provide patch new version of windows 10 runs photoshop (pre-elements 15) correctly before?

or

2) justify why millions of people have spend hard-earned money on new photoshop software rectify seems problem of own making? 

like lot of us, need working system 24/7 business, have 2 suggestions:

1. roll update has caused photoshop not work

  1. open settings app (gear icon on start menu)
  2. go update , security
  3. click update, on 'go previous version of windows' click 'get started'

2. turn off automatic updates

  1. click start button, type services , hit enter
  2. when services app opens, scroll down list find windows update
  3. double click service open properties
  4. if service started, click stop
  5. set startup type disabled - manual not work

then if want go microsoft catalog page , download , install windows 10 updates manually if wish

on page enter windows 10 , build number in search box (e.g. windows 10 1703) find latest updates

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance.
