After Upgrade to Win10, No mouse and keyboard at Welcome screen - Microsoft Community

i ran win 7 many years, decided upgrade win10 via download. pc downloaded , restarted few times. showed screen saying 'welcome windows 10 david' , there 1 button called 'next'.

neither mouse nor keyboard work. can't click on next.

mouse , keybord work fine in bios setup. mouse , keyboard work fine when hard reset , windows starts in menu can select startup options , recovery options. tried options available. system recovery, startup options (safe mode, low res mode, ...), restore, ... nothing works. can select options mouse , keyboard, log in command line mode , run commands, reboot , go welcome screen, have no way click on next. tried buy new keyboard , mouse. no difference.

microsoft phone support unable , recommended go local microsoft store/support. ideas how mouse , or keyboard working @ welcome screen right after installing upgrade?

during installation windows created new drive x: new boot drive. how can switch drive c: boot drive? maybe way can old win 7 , try start upgrade again.

moved from: windows / windows 10 / install, upgrade, & activate

seems @ welcome screen usb ports disabled. keyboard , mouse connected through usb. not have ps/2 port.
