Why is the new updated fall version to Windows 10 always restoreing my - Microsoft Community

i have a 12 month old pc laptop, lenovo, , don't quite remember newer action when restarting or plain ole starting pc, now, every time restart pc quick refresh, , happen have few applications open, such few browsers, or few programs, restart action brings me right using pc before hand. in other words, lets had close out pc, had few programs running such opera, ie 11, or firefox, , couple of other programs still running, had stud down pc. then, if go start pc, if days before so, pc opens, , struggling because now, has open of programs had open before closed down, or shut off. if pc never shut down, or went sleep mode days power button turned off. might great concept had power outage, or never intended , abruptly turn off pc shutting down, me, annoying.

of browser set quit when shutting down, not forced reopen last session.

any thoughts?

hello david,

this 1 of many changes in windows 10's fall creators update. pc automatically reopen programs running before shutdown or restart. can annoying you, allow pick left off , resume being productive in event of accidental shutdown or system restart. however, understand want disable feature. of now, there no option prevent windows 10 restoring opened programs after restart.

we suggest exit programs manually before shutdown won't relaunched after reboot. have other options such using classic shut down dialog shutdown or restart. can use command shutdown or restart or shutdown fast startup.

should need additional assistance, let know.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance.
