Unable to set up mapped drives on my own PC or use previously mapped - Microsoft Community

i microsoft access developer customers use mapped drives. able develop apps fit setup, set mapped drives on own computer same drive letters have, have hit problems , i'm afraid explanation bit vague in terms of timing of when things went wrong. mapped drives (corresponding customers no longer have) stopped working while (as observed big red x in file explorer), postponed sorting them out since no longer customers. still able map couple of new drives on machine corresponding used new customer (i think order of things). new drives don't work, may due me using dropbox business has changed things around , mapped folders in dropbox.

however, , main point, can no longer map new drives shared folders on pc. can share folders using "give access to" file explorer (i'm on windows 10 fall creators update), when try map shared folder following error message:

file , print sharing resource (alan-pc) online isn't responding connection attempts

clicking on "see details" tells me, "error code: 0x80070035. network path not found." , clicking on "diagnose" gives me original error message above.

i've tried sharing folder again ( c:\testshare) , when assured "your folder shared" , when click on "show me network network shares on computer" shown folders have shared, if double-click on folder shared, "windows cannot access \\alan-pc\testshare". again option diagnose, clicking gives me original error message above. same message if click other items @ network > alan-pc in file explorer.

note 1 customer required log system using watchguard firebox ssl vpn, have item under control panel > network , internet > network connections, works ok when connect , problems started occurring sometime after installed don't think problem. have vethernet (default switch) item when using hyper-v several months ago.

i forever grateful if can show me need able map drives on own pc once again.

panic over. found https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10741/windows-10-fix-network-connection-issues , got part way through this. 1 of items sorted me out , can map drives again.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
