Lenovo Flex 5 1570 touch screen not working - Microsoft Community

i purchased lenovo flex 5 2 weeks ago. it's pretty awesome machine. after initial set , update on first day of use, touch screen has not worked since then. had lenovo tech take control , uninstall , reinstall driver. didn't work. updated bios. still nothing. i'm thinking problem latest windows 10 update , driver screen. 

when checked "about device", says no pen or touch input available screen. using tablet useless.

any ideas? can't return b&h because don't refund on laptops. , i'm loving laptop. want functioning 100%. else ever solve problem? or @ microsoft know this?

hi lucky,

one of possible reasons why touch screen not working due outdated driver. resolve issue kindly follow these steps.

  1. open device manager.
  2. navigate option human interface devices.
  3. then expand hid-compliant touch screen or hid-compliant device. (if cannot find these options, click view > show hidden devices).
  4. right-click hid-compliant touch screen or hid-compliant device.
  5. then click disable.
  6. window appear "disabling device cause stop functioning. want disable it".
  7. click yes.
  8. repeat above steps. choose enable bring touch back.

have simple wireless mouse , has worked fine in past sudden freezes when ever move it working fije second after stops in place , moves , , fustrating have deleted device manager deleted drivers rolled previous driver , removed settings , still lags , stops in place fix's? hi david, since you've reinstalled , rolled mouse driver, possible sensor of mouse broken. have tried using mouse on other pcs no problem? we'll looking forward reply. regards.
