Homegroup after late 2017 updates - Microsoft Community

we had 4 computers running on homegroup windows 10 until updates occurred (november , december 2017).  homegroup had been set on older windows version (8 think) continued work when computers upgraded windows 10.  1 of computers died , replaced new computer running windows 10.  can't connected homegroup , other computers not allow homegroup controlled in way.   on 3 older computers, when go "homegroup" message saying have been invited join homegroup though working within homegroup.   none of actions meant come available.  not menu allows view homegroup passord, leave homegroup etc.  box inviting join , asking password.  don't know if i've got correct current password because none of computers allow view password.  1 of computers updated again yesterday. hoped might sort problem no.  can 1 help?  other info out there seems older , don't know if dealing problems caused recent updates.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
