enable adaptive brightness off. 

turn off display after... set never.

our computers not laptops. 

both wife , have apple cinemadisplays , both have recently begun dim , brighten on own. doesn't occur until after logging windows 10. @ point—after logging in—the monitors begin dim , brighten on own.

when physical brightness controls buttons (for monitors) used, there happening fights use of these buttons (i.e. brightness increased, levels keep going down brightness turned up. monitor returns it's darkest state on own, sometimes begin brighten again).

this issue not occur when hooked our macs, or when on win7. began recent win10 update.

i have attempted give nvidia control panel full control of monitor, , though can adjust settings, doesn't lock out whatever causing randomness.

this have happened due several reasons outdated driver windows 10. suggest update drivers on windows 10.

if error still occurs, suggest run system file checker tool , deployment image servicing , management tool scan , correct issues. system file checker (sfc) built-in tool in operating system. sfc checks system file corruption. deployment image servicing , management (dism) command-line tool can used service windows image or prepare windows preinstallation environment image.

kindly follow steps in article posted zigzag3143 (ms -mvp) perform sfc , dism: run sfc , dism.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
