i receiving blue screen error " critical process died", after installing update windows. tried resetting computer assistance of microsoft agent, windows 10 recovery program not recognize password? have files on computer not want lose, microsoft states cannot guarantee not lose files if perform "custom installation", way os , running. have tried using usb 3.0 sata hdd/ssd cable uasp, not appear open partition files stored. has else had problem, , found work around??

a factor why getting error message: critical_process_died due data has been modified, when shouldn't. recommend run system file checker. system file check is a utility available in windows 10 checks system file corruption. if issue isn't resolved performing sfc, kindly use dism. dism used troubleshoot errors sfc can't resolve.

see article: using system file checker in windows 10 and follow on-screen instructions. in event sfc wasn't able resolve issue, click on more info on system file checker and go dism on thread steps.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance.
