DirectX related issues and not able to activate DirectPlay - Microsoft Community

since ran problems several ea games gave me directx errors installing them on origin, , same happening other non-ea games too, tried running dxwebsetup said "an internal system error occured. please refer dxerror.log , directx.log in windows folder determine problem."

don't find in directx.log helps me along, , dxerror.log seems missing.

issue i'm having can't enable directplay under legacy components, windows starts fixing issues , resolves them when trying, problem remains, , when try again starts resolving them again in end persisting problem of not being able enable directplay.

i'm on windows 10, upgraded windows 8.1 retail.

might relevant windows update having trouble @ moment microsoft .net framework 4.7 windows 10 version 1607 , windows server 2016 x64 (kb3186568) - error 0x8000ffff.  troubleshooting program kicked in trying enable directplay fixed windows update in way think, because there updates available.

error came checking directplay 0x800f081f

i'm running microsoft windows malicious software removal tool speak.

is there way check integrity of directx , .net framework versions installed on system?

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance.
