Answer Desk - Microsoft Community


last 2 times i've contacted answer desk finding out why nextreme gigabit lan had mysteriously quit working after windows 10 update, give them remote access. tell me sit , wait while fix it. can sit there hour , read, if reason end session , nothing accomplished. except they've wasted lot of time. next person cannot find previous person doing, starts over. ends session. quick cut off, it's rude , offensive. else run frustrating issue?

hello . i'm greg, microsoft mvp here you. have tried here first? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10741/windows-10-fix-network-connection-issues sure have latest driver, visit pc model's support downloads webpage try windows 10, 8.1 or 8 drivers in order of preference. follow steps broadcom updating via website: https://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet-nic if you're pretty sure it's update caused this, can try system restore point before update: http://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/computing/how-to-fix-windows-10-problems-with-system-restore-11364008291943 can try uninstalling update in windows update settings under update history: if version update windows 10 can try rolling in settings>update , security>recovery. feel free ask questions , let know how goes. i'll keep working until it's resolved.
