Why has Windows 10 started indicating that my usb connected MTP - Microsoft Community

have old creative zen touch mp3 files stored on. until recently, device, folders , mp3 files stored on viewed in explorer , in creative software designed manage it.  now, when plug in device auto detected , creative software offered default application.  both explorer , creative software show device.  explorer shows folder named "storage media" , able detect size of folder, says folder empty.  properties shows size of folder (reporting on 6gb used of 20gb drive), shows being empty.  when not connected pc, creative device works fine , can access music stored on it.  is windows 10 permissions issue?  i user of pc , account has administrator privileges.  as nothing has changed on creative zen touch , still works fine, must assume has changed on pc result of routine update.  please me regain ability manage music on old friend.

  • have you  made changes prior issue?
  • are getting error messages or pop-up messages?
  • could provide screenshot of experiencing?

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance.
