i have windows 10 enterprise system (non-domain joined) date on current branch. i had manually set local group policies, including screen saver, have since reset gp default. no matter do, screen saver comes on after xx minutes. looking in screen saver settings ss set (none) , box return logon screen deselected. i've tried manually editing registry well, ss still comes on.
are there suggestions on check next? i pair phone system , use device lock lock screen once leave proximity, i'll settle getting ss off.
hello jason411, please try following see if solve issue: please follow below steps turn off screen saver , check if works: step 1: open registry editor. so, type regedit in start menu or taskbar search box , press enter key. registry editor can launched typing regedit in run command box , pressing enter key. step 2: in registry editor, navigate following key: hkey_current_user\control panel\desktop step 3: on right-side, entry named screensaveactive, double-click on it, , set value 1 (one) enable screen saver , make 0 (zero) disable. note if screensaveactive string value doesn’t exist, right-click on empty area, click new, click string value , name screensaveactive. note: section, method, or task contains steps tell how modify registry. however, serious problems might occur if modify registry incorrectly. therefore, make sure follow these steps carefully. added protection, registry before modify it. then, can restore registry if problem occurs. more information how , restore registry, click following article number view article in microsoft knowledge base: 322756 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756/ ) please reply results, glad further. thank you.
