Laptop dead for two weeks now after Windows 10 update - Microsoft Community

hi.  have been unable use asus laptop 2 weeks following attempted automatic windows 10 update, stuck in endless boot loop.  screen black perpetual spinning dots , "restoring previous version of windows" @ bottom.  work home , if didn't have fortune still have old laptop use, would've been forced buy new computer.  i've spent large amount of time on past 2 weeks searching internet solution.  i've been able find many many other people in same situation.  there's youtube screen shot of exact same issue have.  i've emailed sydney ms office never received reply.  i'm worried old laptop die , i'll in bigger hole.  did find possible fix online windows media creation tool, downloaded, after many failed attempts, subsequently read obsolete.  please, please please me?!

here steps , running if need create bootable media repairs, , if fail need clean install result in better install of windows can buy on new pc anyway. can make best of bad situation , i'll here , not let fail:

1) try whichever method works here advanced startup options run system restore if windows update, or go old version if version update. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2294-advanc...

if able access system restore or go , fails, skip step 3.

2) if necessary create bootable installation media access repair options if not accessible other method: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m...

boot media powering pc while pressing bios boot menu key: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/hardware-tutor...

choose uefi version of media if offered, browse second screen repair computer link, advanced troubleshoot options - run system restore point before problem began.

3) if fails try startup repair, or go troubleshoot options on previous screen reset pc save files while reinstalling windows.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance.
