Is Windows 10 Update Troubleshooter BROKEN as some - Microsoft Community

greetings everyone,

some members of community advocating posters not bother using windows 10 update troubleshooter.   they allege it's broken ...no references cited though???  author states,

"the windows update troubleshooter has been "broken" since november of 2016 don't waste time running on & on again: ain't gonna fix nothin'!"

a simple google of allegation produces no immediate results effect.  

again, author cites no references assertion!

i have been pondering more year, whether statement above true or false?  many replies posted community members suggest running windows update troubleshooter... it's among first advice offered.  possible that  here @ community has been wrong giving such advice?  think not.

posters , responders need know whether statement above accurate or not.  again, no cited references assertion! @ community, advocates the use of windows update troubleshooter...and not endorse contrary statement  emboldened above. 

feedback appreciated.  inquirers need know truth windows update troubleshooter , whether it's broken or not! 

be kind , provide references if support quoted allegation found above. 

i believe credibility requires on same page concerning windows update troubleshooter... , not 1 person saying it's broken while else saying it's tool should use.  see problem here?

none of troubleshooters can fix every possible problem. that's not realistic.

the troubleshooters common problems. if particular problem facing not 1 troubleshooter built fix, won't run it.

you have careful when read in forum or 'broken' in windows 10. keep in mind many of posters here don't know how run computer in first place. there's no shame in - computers complicated. know well. shame comes when, instead of accepting responsibility learning how things properly, these people claim, rudely, broken , it's microsoft's fault.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
