Cannot open links received from Outlook using Internut Explorer 11 - Microsoft Community

when using email, microsoft outlook, , clicking on link goes internet explorer 11 home page on google not go link clicked on.  worked fine until 1 day asked if wanted continue on ie , said yes , day link not work , can not find problem , want stay on ie.  bill

hi bill,

since problem unique internet explorer, there might setting or registry have been corrupted or incorrectly configured. note, may reset internet explorer default state. helpful if there problems may have been caused after changing setting in internet explorer. here's how reset internet explorer:

  1. select tools button, , select internet options.
  2. select advanced tab, select reset.
  3. in reset internet explorer settings dialog box, kindly select reset.
  4. when internet explorer finishes applying default settings, kindly select close, , select ok. kindly restart pc apply changes.

note: resetting internet explorer isn't reversible, , previous settings lost after reset.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
