Black screen and dll issue - Microsoft Community

  1. i have dell inspiron 620 desktop ~2012. upgraded windows 8 10 while no apparent issues.
  2. a few weeks ago got black screen when turned on computer. found out enter password blindly , log me in , see desktop fine.
    1. however, started getting error message when opening most programs, chrome or itunes. if click ok fine , program opens.
  3. i installed fall creator update hoping update dll causing problem learned file connected windows services. did not work , new update not easy start computer.
  4. some people read had similar problems found there 2 of same dll file , deleted 1 0kb. have 1 indeed 0kb.

i have run sfc found no conflicts. learned graphics card intel 2nd gen (hd graphics 2000) , not updating drivers win10, instead refer windows update tool. issue , there way make work?

don't see dell inspiron 620 listed compatible windows 10 fall creators update:

so, issue might result of hardware compatibility. recommendation reinstall original version of windows came system.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
