Windows keeps adding United States-International keyboard layout - Microsoft Community

after fall creator update, windows keeps adding us-intl keyboard layout automatically everytime laptop starts, don't want. default language en_gb.

the problem seems disappear when log off account , sign in again, layout no longer appears. if restart laptop, problem doesn't appear either. however, when turned off laptop , open again, issue occurs.

i have tried uninstalled keyboard driver, , works on first restart, yet when laptop shut down, , starts again, problem comes.

my laptop lenovo y520 runs windows 10 64-bit , got fall creator update.

the laptop built-in keyboard layout thai , en_us-intl, have external keyboard has uk layout. problem didn't happen before fall update.

solved:

solution

1. go 'control panel\clock, language , region\language\advanced settings' (you can copy , paste in address bar of explorer)

2. click on 'apply language settings welcome screen, system accounts, , new user accounts'.

3. go 'administrative' tab (last tab), , got 'copy settings...'

4. make sure setting in 'current user' section correct. @ bottom of dialogue, check both boxes (copy current settings to: [/] welcome screen , systems accounts, [/] new user accounts).

5. enjoy!

this solution might solve problems mine, may not applicable others. please try other solutions.
