ping 1000+ why does my laptop do this? - Microsoft Community

i enjoy gaming on windows 10 laptop, games play work fine every , ping increase 75 1000-2000+ can irritating. unaware of how fix problem, have gotten different routers, modems, lag spikes still overly common. know how fix or computer?

there many reasons why you're experiencing high ping when playing games. possible internet may slowing down or having issues, downloading in background, or internet experiencing difficulties connecting servers of games. need clarify information first better assist on network concern. kindly answer following:

  • when did high ping issue start?
  • were there changes made on computer before encountering issue?
  • do experience slow internet connection when browse web?
  • does issue occur on of games require internet connection?
  • are getting high ping issue when playing same games using device?

in meantime, recommend running network troubleshooter. troubleshooter resolves network issues , show causing error.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
