My built-in speakers no longer mute since the last Windows update. - Microsoft Community

after running recent windows 10 update few days ago, having frustrating issue speakers.

i have used external set, automatically muted built-in ones in hp computer. now, audio comes out of both no matter try , makes sound awful. have keep volume relatively low negates quality of external speakers. it's driving me crazy.

i have followed steps provided few other people similar issues, without success.

incorrect configuration may cause built-in speakers not mute when external speakers present.

isolate root cause of issue , provide suitable solution, know following:

model of hp computer?
referring built-in speakers on monitor?
after latest windows update, have checked hp update well?
have tried contacting hp support team assistance?

have simple wireless mouse , has worked fine in past sudden freezes when ever move it working fije second after stops in place , moves , , fustrating have deleted device manager deleted drivers rolled previous driver , removed settings , still lags , stops in place fix's? hi david, since you've reinstalled , rolled mouse driver, possible sensor of mouse broken. have tried using mouse on other pcs no problem? we'll looking forward reply. regards.
