Windows 10 does not detect a new rablet. - Microsoft Community

recently acquired android tablet. run windows 10 on toshiba laptop. when attempt connect them via usb cable, win 10 not appear detect hardware change. cannot move files between them. win 10 gives no error codes. running troubleshooter fails help. best can interpret troubleshooter message has detected unspecified hardware problem. seems unable suggest corrective action. check of device manager (portable devices , disk drives), tablet internal memory , new external micro sd card not show there either. question what's happening or not happening. how can corrected.

• usb cable or usb port broken.
• there wrong device.

resolve issue, suggest follow troubleshooting listed below:

solution 1: switch different usb cable

solution 2: check usb computer connection settings

in order manage files on computer, need connect android phone media device (mtp). so, may follow steps below:

1. go settings on android device.
2. then, storage , click icon more.
3. select usb computer connection then, choose media device(mtp).
4. connect android computer again.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
