Miracast compatibility - Microsoft Community

hi there,

i have pc i'm having compatibility issues miracasting. bought windows wireless display adapter v2. built previous pc younger brother , miracasting works. specs are:

os: win 10 pro 64-bit (should come miracast enabled)

cpu: intel i7 4770 (the integrated graphics supports miracast)

mobo: gigabyte ga-h97-d3h

gpu: nvidia 980 ti 6gb ddr5

wifi: gigabyte pcie-ac dual-band (supports intel wi-di)

ram: 16gb 1600 mhz

the other machine built mom similar downgraded specs. isn't compatible miracast. specs are:

os: win 10 pro 64-bit (should come miracast enabled)

cpu: intel i5 4590 (the integrated graphics supports miracast)

mobo: gigabyte ga-h97-d3h

gpu: amd radeon hd 6950 2gb ddr5

wifi: asus pce-ac55bt (supports intel wi-di)

ram: 8gb 1600 mhz

however, when removed gpu able use miracast. both pc's have latest updates , drivers. question is, miracast exclusive nvidia drivers, or because amd gpu i'm using old amd drivers don't support it. i've done few searching , articles talk requirements os, cpu, , wi-fi cards without mentioning gpu compatibility.

i want know if need buy nvidia gpu, , if generation can use (e.g. model above gtx 9??) or if it's driver compatibility, or if amd supports @ newer products or whatever drivers need.

any appreciated.
