cd rom not recognize dvd, unable play movie. have done:
have checked up-to-date drivers, ran troubleshooter hardware , devices. there no problems.
i have uninstalled from device manager's following: dvd/cd rom's drives , ide ata/atapi controllers
showing hidden devices ata channel 0, ata channel 1 , standard dual channel pci ide controller. restarted
pc, no changes. itel manufacturer drivers date well.
lastly, ran diskpart , volume info on command prompt (admin). reads: "missing media." though dvd in cd-rom.
would appreciate response.

there might have been files got corrupted during installation of update. let's see if the windows update troubleshooter can diagnose issue. if issue persists, disconnect network , check if can uninstall last update control panel > programs > view installed updates. kb4041676.
