Factory reset problem - Microsoft Community

i decided factory reset pc installed windows 10 on... after rest neither mouse nor keyboard working me setup pc... keeps on saying keyboard error (the keyboard number lock led on , can turned of prior arriving @ windows logo , tge loading circle, after that, freezes) mouse nor keyboard working me set pc... nothing wrong keyboard or mouse, work on own, when connect pc... both freeze...

hello,

one of possible reasons regarding malfunction of keyboard , mouse due outdated drivers or third party applications conflicting device drivers installed on computer. more closely this, kindly answer these questions:

  • have tried insert keyboard , mouse different ports , see if same issue persists?
  • do have spare mouse , keyboard can use can identify if issue coming computer?

meanwhile, kindly follow these steps:


method 1: run hardware , devices troubleshooter.

  1. click the start menu, , click settings.
  2. type troubleshooting on search box.
  3. in new window, click hardware , sound.
  4. click hardware , devices and run troubleshooter.

method 2: update drivers in windows 10.

  1. select the start button, type device manager, , select list of results.
  2. expand 1 of categories find name of device, right-click (or tap , hold) it, , select update driver software.
  3. select search automatically updated driver software.
  4. if windows doesn't find new driver, can try looking 1 on device manufacturer's website , follow instructions.

if these steps don't work, try reinstalling driver: open device manager, right-click (or tap , hold) name of device, , select uninstall. restart pc , windows attempt reinstall driver.

have simple wireless mouse , has worked fine in past sudden freezes when ever move it working fije second after stops in place , moves , , fustrating have deleted device manager deleted drivers rolled previous driver , removed settings , still lags , stops in place fix's? hi david, since you've reinstalled , rolled mouse driver, possible sensor of mouse broken. have tried using mouse on other pcs no problem? we'll looking forward reply. regards.
