Windows 10 fonts missing - Microsoft Community

i've been happy running windows 10 (x64) creators update few weeks.  then noticed c: partition getting full deleted contents of %temp% (except locked files), downloaded latest version of ccleaner, checked old windows installations have files removed (having run system cleanup tool same week or 2 earlier), ran ccleaner without accepting option create backup.

 

i find none of ms office 2010 programs display contents should.  when start word receive "there insufficient memory or disk space. word cannot display requested font".  text seems present in can select areas know there text, fonts available calibri , cambria.  i have same problem in adobe photoshop when trying create text, , journal (a text based program).

 

i looked in fonts folder , see 234 there.  wordpad, notepad, notepad++, thunderbird email client work fine , allow selection of multiple fonts.

 

i have rebooted in safe mode using different account, tried , failed run system restore, repaired ms office, sfc/scannow, recovered old windows installation folders backup, rebuilt font cache, clicked 'restore default font settings' in control panel - no avail.

 

now i've run out of ideas.  please help.

since system restore no longer option, suggest perform refresh pc without affecting files avoid potential data loss. reference on how perform refresh pc, click link and follow steps on refresh pc without affecting files section.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
