Windows 10 Home : Manual Proxy settings are not retained, getting - Microsoft Community

hi,

 

i manage infrastructure in organisation.

 

we have around 25+ systems running windows 10 home on dell systems , experiencing issue them, on dell laptops.

 

in order connect internet  have use proxy in our environment reason proxy settings not retained , getting reset automatically approximately after 20 or 30 mins , @ random times.

 

we enter proxy ip , port in windows settings > network & internet > proxy > manual proxy setup. kindly refer attachment.

 

we not sure issue , having hard time connecting internet because if issue , had input proxy info manually every , annoying.

 

any troubleshooting guidance appreciated!!

for better assist you, we'd know following:

  • confirm build installed on devices. check, follow steps below:
  1. press windows key + r, type in winver.
  2. click ok.
  • are using 3rd-party antivirus software?
  • are using wired or wireless connection?
  • were there recent changes made prior issue?
  • make sure box user proxy server lan enabled. refer steps below:
  1. right-click on internet explorer, select run administrator.
  2. click on gear icon, click on internet options.
  3. go connection tab. click on lan settings button.
  4. under proxy server, check box user proxy server lan , click ok to save changes.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
