Unable to sign in to windows 10 profile due to a non-microsoft account - Microsoft Community

every time try log in computer, given error 'we can't sign in account' , sent temporary profile means cannot access files or create new ones.

the computer asked me enter new account details on profile added work email not microsoft account. 

i think problem try sign in computer, microsoft searching microsoft email , not finding 1 saying can't sign in. 

i have managed find , copy of files account creating admin user , retrieving them way (which don't think should possible seems unsafe whatever) rather not create new user , delete older user programmes, emails, settings etc still in old account. 

i have tried editing registry, adding new profiles, , changing various settings need change email address associated user without being logged in user - possible??? i'm going insane , keep going in circles.

yes, possible change e-mail address associated microsoft account changing primary alias. assist you, suggest visit article. there, you'll see how add alias, change primary alias , how remove alias account. removing old alias, remove old e-mail address microsoft account.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance.
