My wifi network option has disappeared, but ethernet works fine... How - Microsoft Community

noticed ethernet icon has disappeared taskbar, looked find underneath connection, says "no internet", strange seeing continues work fine.  i saw under list of available adapters, there none wifi connection, although there before.  i think because of this, unable join vpns, whenever try, hangs endlessly.  also, in network settings under "status", see in red letters "not connected", , not connected networks.  using troubleshooter, suggested tried network reset did not me.  it worth mentioning in "network , sharing center", in area used show connection icons, says "unknown - dependency service or group failed start", though went advanced sharing settings turn network discovery on both private , public profiles (does automatic setup check mark have it).  so, though router on , working, given no option before connect wirelessly via pc.  this same router have connected via ethernet , working fine regular internet use.  any diagnosing of issue , suggested fixes appreciated!

i've fixed issue finally.  turns out needed reactivate windows event log, turned off trying fix performance issues.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
