Battery conservation by reducing Maximum Processor State - Microsoft Community

on alienware 13 laptop if reduce maximum processor state 50% when on battery, expect significant increase in battery life if running things word, email , maybe viewing go-to-meeting or skype 4b?

should not expect worthwhile energy saving setting. major drain on laptop battery display.
