Latest Windows 10 update caused screen to become Psychedelic/Wavy - Microsoft Community

i updated system latest version of windows 10 via auto-updater , upon reloading system greeted "we're getting things ready you" screen, except background colors flashing fast enough give epilepsy mild seizure. once got lock screen, background looked unicorn vomited on (image below) , extremely difficult/impossible read anything. figured related gpu booted safe-mode, caused issue stop, , uninstalled every program nvidia before name. upon rebooting after uninstalling "nvidia graphics driver version 388.31" , rebooting normally, issue solved , screen returned normal (hooray!). so, thinking update had corrupted driver, reinstalled driver , rebooted and, lone-behold, issue came , screen went having acid trip (wonder put in water cooler...). so, question is, else having issue and, if so, problem needs solved nvidia or microsoft.
