Black Screen with Cursor and nothing else after Windows 10 Features - Microsoft Community

hello.

i asked install feature update windows 10 version 1703 couldnt defer from. update done, , shut down later wasn't able see black screen , mouse cursor. blindly log in unable proceed there. task manager no visible.

i tried restarting many times , faced infinite loading loops... out of had fource shut down.

could advice me solution, possible?

based on information have given suggest performing system restore try , fix issue. follow steps below:

 

  1. start desktop, , after manufacturers logo disappears , windows 10 tries boot, press , hold power button 5-10 seconds perform hard shut down.  
        

  2. do step #1 until see windows logo screen or please wait during boot. (you may need perform 3 times.)  

  3. after windows 10 boots windows 10 recovery environment (winre), can access startup recovery, safe mode, , command prompt.  

  4. go troubleshoot > advanced options > system restore, , check if have restore point.  

  5. in list of available restore points, choose date prior issue. steps can found in this article on how perform system restore. refer restore system restore point.  

  
   

if steps above fails, suggest boot computer in safe mode (while in recovery environment) , see if helps. follow steps below on how boot in safe mode:   
   

  1. go troubleshoot > advanced options > startup settings , click restart.  

  2. upon restart, click/press 4 boot safe mode.  

  
   

if  safe mode not work, may need reset computer. follow steps below:   
   

  1. go troubleshoot > advanced options > reset pc.  

  2. choose keep files , applications. re-install windows 10 whilst keeping data , applications.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
