UWP apps and printers with codes - Microsoft Community

hi,

since windows 10 launched we've had issues printers , photocopiers require authentication or code print. eg, sharp photocopiers have usercodes job handling. x86/x64 desktop apps print correctly, windows common print dialog calling job handling page when required. using uwp print driver interface, there no way call interface, user code cannot input or sent. job rejected copier unauthenticated. worse, blocks print queue no 1 else can print on device until print spooer rebooted, twice! occurs on machine vendor on latest drivers. using common dialog in desktop apps works. work schools trying save money, holding confidential data, these features need on. turning codes off fix issue, it's not answer schools issues.

is there plan fix printing interface in uwp apps windows 10, or stuck trying point staff in direction of desktop apps printing in uwp seems broken?

has found way around other using accounting system papercut, can cost lots school?

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
