I can't open newly downloaded .Exe files on windows 10 - Microsoft Community

i'm using windows 10 , recently, noticed couldn't open new .exe files, can still open old ones reason.

web browser did use download them?

try disabling smart screen filter in windows defender security center.

open app & browser control in windows defender security center
select off radio box smartscreen microsoft edge.
