how to remove the unnecessary names in the opening page of my PC? - Microsoft Community

     dear sir,

                  want make necessary alteration  in name:  umachandran9-one name, instead of uma chandran-no gap between uma &

                  chandran.

                  in pc, have 7 different names in opening of pc.

                  1. umachandran

                  2. *** email address removed privacy ***

                  3. babu umachandran.

                  4. guest-my friend.

                  5. umachandran viswanat.

                  6. umachandran.v.

                  7. umachandran viswanath.

                  operating " uma chandran" ( correct "umachandran"-one name) password.

                 think others, except "guest-my friend", unnecessary.

                 want how can remove them & keep essential. 

                 have doubt, there harmful pc, when remove them?

                 please guide me well.

moved from: windows / windows 10 / ease of access / pc

it seems referring local user accounts. if want delete user accounts, may try these steps:

1. go settings app.
2. locate accounts , select family & other users.
3. click name of account want remove , click remove.
4. when prompted confirm, click delete account , data.

you'll no longer see login screen. files, program data, , settings stored on said user account deleted well.

to change sign-in screen name, follow steps below:

1. open settings app , navigate accounts.
2. choose your email , accounts.
3. select manage microsoft account.
4. click edit name on main page.
5. change name , click save.
6. restart pc.
