Help. Keyboard not working on laptop, and some other issues. - Microsoft Community

laptop asus x540s. new, not damaged. windows 10 version 1703 (os build 15063.068). other issues include mouse can click on upper left part of screen when on desktop. when watch @ youtube, goes start of video when triggers. can't scroll through task manager , when typing, cursor moves left (specially when using (1)). weird thing can use keyboard after press power button , press 2nd button right. tried reinstalling keyboard drivers , restarting lot of times. filter keys unchecked.but think must have done trigger because pressed f8 repeatedly during restart keyboard won't work. saw red x on lower left of screen on restarts don't appear now.

the issues you've experienced on laptop possible hardware , driver-related. determine have caused these problems , address them, suggest running hardware troubleshooter. follow steps below:

  1. in cortana search box, type in troubleshooting.
  2. click troubleshooting in search results.
  3. click view all in left pane, click hardware , devices.
  4. hit next , follow on-screen instructions.
  5. once done, click ok.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
