My Windows 10 HP Notebook doesn't recognise my Android cellphone - Microsoft Community

hi,

i don't know call process of "connecting android cellphone windows notebook via data/power usb cable navigating sd card/phone storage through windows explorer"

however, when connecting smart cellphone lt-m5_lite using "data/power" usb cable hp notebook usb port, didn't see that windows 10 hp notebook recognized it(nothing listed in 'devices , drives" usual in past). so, couldn't connected data stored on cellphone ('sd card' or 'phone storage') using usb cable. though when my cellphone connected notebook, saw cellphone charging through notebook --- means usb cable functioning well.

in past(i don't remember exact period 'maybe 2 months ago') when connecting android cellphone windows 10 hp notebook, then noticed drivers automatically installed, , cellphone recognized, , there 'lt_m5_lite" icon, , 'lt_m5 drivers" listed under "devices , drives"). so, have navigated sd card  or phone storage. didn't remember did cellphone settings causing issue. 


my android device brand lt_m5_lite:
system: android 5.1
model: lt_m5_lite
app version: 1.0

i have windows 10 home-64bit(version 1607, build: 1493.1480) installed on hp pavilion dv6 notebook.


i checked out device manager, , found there no other devices having exclamation mark(!), means these devices having mark recognized unknown devices hp notebook.

this below id hardware "usb\vid_271d&pid_4017&rev_????&mi_00" , shown under lt_m5_lite. should google id, , install drivers.

i checked "open device , printer', ,and found lt-m5 listed there. however, means android cellphone paired hp notebook via bluetooth.
i checked settings of android cellphone, , didn't find section set connecting cellphone notebook directly via using usb cable.

note: when connecting android cellphone windows 10 hp notebook via bluetooth, noticed paired well, , send , receiving files between them.

this issue may happen if phone not being connected media device , if there problems driver.

to know process on how connect phone media (mtp) , usb mass storage device, suggest referring phone's user manual or contacting device manufacturer directly.

you can install mtp device driver device manager following steps below:

  1. press windows key + x.
  2. select device manager.
  3. locate android device.
  4. right-click , choose update driver software.
  5. choose browse computer driver software.
  6. select let me pick list of device drivers on computer.
  7. choose mtp usb device list , click next.
  8. once installed, check if phone recognized media device.

get outcome can out further.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
