Audio problem - Microsoft Community

after windows 10 creators update on aug. 28 our hp beats audio gone , our external speakers , woofer not work. connected jack on side of all-in_one. worked until big update. hasn't worked since then. internal (poor sound quality) speakers work.

upon checking, hp beats audio application installed oem (orginal equipment manufacturer) of computer. hp beats application may connected audio driver of computer. audio driver of computer may have issue why application missing. suggest re-install audio driver of computer resolve issue. please take note need unplug external speaker before re-installing audio driver. this, follow these steps:

  1. right click windows logo (start button).
  2. choose device manager.
  3. on device manager window, double-click sound, video , game controllers.
  4. right audio driver, , select uninstall.
  5. on confirm device uninstall window, click delete driver software device check box.
  6. click ok.
  7. after uninstalling audio driver, download audio driver software of computer. can download visiting support page of hp.
  8. after downloading audio driver software, run installer.
  9. follow prompts of installer.
  10. after re-installing driver, check if can access hp beats application , check if external speakers work.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
