Windows Firewall will not turn off - Microsoft Community

i have internet security provided bullguard firewall on.

have noted windows firewall stated in security & maintenance both shown on. therefore need turn off windows firewall.

tried turn off windows firewall carrying out following procedure without success:

going control panel & clicking windows firewall. clicked in left hand column,  "turn windows firewall on or off"

the display turns "customise settings".

for both private & public firewall shown being on. therefore clicked  on both "turn off windows firewall" both the private & public network settings followed clicking ok.

new screen display appears "help protect pc windows firewall" showing windows firewall off. within couple of seconds similar display appears on screen showing both private & public networks windows firewall has automatically been turned on.

any solutions please.

you may better off asking bullguard confirm: forum - https://www.bullguard.com/forum or support - https://www.bullguard.com/support.aspx

i've not got bullguard check/test myself, quick forum search found these recent posts:

https://www.bullguard.com/forum/15/bullguard-firewall-and-windows_124578.html - states "you need keep windows firewall on as bullguard firewall indeed working on top of windows one."

and https://www.bullguard.com/forum/15/firewall_124521.html which seems have similar information.

as say, found search, not have bullguard test myself. else has confirm or deny.
