browsers do not work after latest windows 10 update - Microsoft Community

after latest windows 10 update (updated on 8-08-2017) none of internet browsers working properly. other applications (save skype has issues connecting online) seem work fine, such overwatch, , indeed other devices have no problems connecting internet such ps4, cell phone, or other computers. 

to more specific can technically start browsers , few limited things them export bookmarks revolving around wi-fi access pointless. windows diagnostics shows consistently no problems wi-fi connection. far have tried, windows edge web browsers, google chrome, , mozzila firefox. same issue.

i noticed when restart computer after booting shut down fixes things until next shut down (to clear after shut computer down while go sleep or work , start again doesn't work, after restarting there things work before.) , when trying system restore go before update sat there in same status, preparing restore, several hours til manually shut down. have not tried system restore since. 

i running alienware aurora r5 purchased less year ago , until latest update have had absolutely no problems computer or windows.

chances (99.99%) dell computer came mcafee free-trial preinstalled. doesn't matter if never used it.


fact: mcafee (and norton) applications notorious for not uninstalling (or upgrading) cleanly. "leftovers" may troublemaker here.

behavior persist if download/run the mcafee consumer products removal tool , restart computer?

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
