Windows 10 bootrec /fixboot access is denied - Microsoft Community

hi, in hurry , made stupid mistake of not backing before resized partition on new acer laptop, intending clone windows 10 installation 1tb hdd 500gb ssd. although hard drive has less 100gb used space, needless error occurred, error code 0xc0000225.

the recovery partition of hdd not accessible using alt f10 @ splash screen recommended acer.

i have been following advice in video

attempts far:

i booted win 10 flash drive , tried automatic repair, took hours did not work.

next tried command prompt - bootrec /rebuildbcd, successful; bootrec /fixmbr, successful; , bootrec /fixboot - not successful , returned "access denied" message.

not sure whether move on next suggestion, using diskpart, or continue trying find way successful result bootrec /fixboot.

advice appreciated.

i had same issue command bootrec /fixboot "access denied",

this happens windows 10 1709 install media.

i tried same command  with windows 10 1703 install media , not error "access denied".

this looks error install media windows 10 1709

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
