Distorted Sound - Microsoft Community

has been happening while now, can't remember when started. while watching video, sound randomly become distorted , slow. after few seconds, video keep playing sound stop. restart computer , work fine little again sound become distorted. uninstalled , reinstalled realtek driver no avail. have hp pavilion x360. has 2 sound drivers. 1 says high definition audio device , other 1 says realtek high definition audio. please help. has become frustrating.

distorted sound can be produces if there issue hardware or software. please answer following questions narrow down concern:

  • is affecting music, videos, , online videos?
  • which sound card set default? realtek high definition audio or high definition audio device? know typing "sound" on search box , select sound, under playback, default speaker should have check.

please run playing audio troubleshooter following these steps:

  1. type "troubleshooting" on search box.
  2. select troubleshooting on result.
  3. click view all.
  4. choose playing audio , follow steps.

hello, so bought new laptop came windows 10 pre-installed. when unpacking, store clerk created dummy local account used when starting first time - make process faster syncing microsoft account, can sync later - said. anyway, done , welcomed desktop. synced microsoft account , went in. synced right away - down wallpapers , themes - save 1 thing; the account name. it still using dummy local account name, despite picture has changed account picture. clicked 'sign in microsoft account instead', , process failed in end. said "[my e-mail account] here already. user in device uses microsoft account, can't add here" i tried removing e-mail & app account under 'e-mail & app account' tab , when tried again, still didn't work. please, want name here. oh, , don't know topic should fall - there's no 'sync' specifically, pick 1 think closest. sorry in advance. ...
