hi,
i have been running windows 10 pro time , i've used hibernate function without problems. when system got last update, version 1709 (os build 16299.64), hibernate stopped working properly: whenever try boot system hibernate state fails, no image displayed on screen @ all, , forced manual restart , lose stored state.
i did not change settings, apart trying disable fast boot , updating driver of intel management engine interface (but problem persisted).
my laptop toshiba l50-a-1ef.
what can fix problem?
thanks.
moved from: windows / windows 10 / power on or off device
provide serial number model?
have done far troubleshoot problem?
how long has been happening?
version of windows 10 installed: 1507, 1511, 1607, 1703?
version of windows did upgrade from?
computers firmware, deals things power management, related sleep needs updated. remember, issue experiencing here outside of windows, not resuming hibernation. windows in saved state on hard disk , can't manage hardware resources, thats left firmware (your bios) handle. so, obvious more hardware issue software, updated driver software can fix it.
suggest need update chipset drivers , bios.
recommend update critical ones: bios, chipset, display driver, network adapters.
second option
uninstall display driver restart
boot windows 10 desktop
press windows key + x
click device manager
expand display adapters
right click current display adapter
click uninstall
exit device manager
restart
if not work, well, need try else. try resetting bios:
