Windows Explorer chrashes - Microsoft Community


have problem windows explorer, presume... started last week, noticed, everytime opened document (word, photo, video) of other windows shut down (crashed) had reopen them. when try right-click in computer, crashes when click on properties. googled little bit, , haven't found solution. 
there 1 post on site user recomended go , errors in event viewer, thread stops @ point.

try clean boot , see if problem persists.

you can run scan system file problems.

method 1:
system file checker utility in windows allows users scan corruptions in windows system files , restore corrupted files.
run system file checker (sfc) , see if helps. please follow these steps:
a. press windows + x keys , click command prompt (admin).
b. type following command in command prompt , press enter.
sfc /scannow
 
if not help, use method 2.
method 2:

run dism tool , check issue. please follow these steps:
a. press windows + x keys , click command prompt (admin).
b. type following command in command prompt , press enter.
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth.
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth.
