Problems connecting to Synology NAS in Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

hi

i've purchased new laptop running windows 10 home (v1703) , having problems connecting synology nas.  can access nas drive through web browsers ip address, , it's showing in "network" in explorer. however, whenever try access through explorer (e.g. map 1 of shared folders) following error message:

"windows cannot access \\longdiskstation

check spelling of name.  otherwise, there might problem network.  try identify , resolve network problems, click diagnose.

error code: 0x80070035

the network path not found."

so far can tell, there's not problem drive can access through web browsers , can access on other devices - e.g. non-windows 10 pcs, iphone / ipad , sonos system.  having said that, when run synology assistant on laptop, doesn't seem able find nas drive, though it's there , apparently can seen windows.

i've tried basics, such disabling firewall , anti-virus, doesn't make difference.

i've had @ of google threads on - - i'm novice when comes these things , i'm not sure i'm looking in right place.

if can offer solutions - in plain english layman can follow! - appreciated.

thanks

adam
